May 2008 Charity

The WWIA (Wounded Warriors in Action) provides world-class outdoor sporting opportunities to our Nation's wounded veterans in order to assist their healing process, welcome them home, and repay a debt of gratitude for the great sacrifices they have made.

The 410-acre Camp Hackett in Phillips, WI is one of their sites, offering:

  • Trophy whitetail bow hunts (season generally runs from 15 Sep through the middle of November)
  • Ruff Grouse hunting opportunities.  Price county Wisconsin is the Ruffed Grouse capital of the world, and the population of this highly sought after game bird are thriving on Camp Hackett.
  • Waterfowl (ducks and geese).
  • Turkey hunts also available
  • Ring neck pheasant hunts
  • Muskie fishing available
  • QDM program & habitat optimization
  • 3D archery practice and qualification range
